WHO I AM

Inspiring, Extraordinary, and Truly Unforgettable Events

I pride myself on my highly customized and unique events. Whether planning your next corporate event, fundraising gala or need help with destination management, I’m here to make sure that each and every event I’m involved with is inspiring, extraordinary, and unforgettable.

I am an event management professional with twenty-five years in the hospitality industry, with experience living, working and producing events in multiple countries across Europe. A British citizen, who has lived and worked in the metropolitan area of Washington, DC for the past 20 years, whilst producing events nationally and internationally. I started her career as a Cordon Bleu chef, working in the catering industry for twelve years before moving to the US and switching to the event logistics side of the business.

I provided hands on logistics for events for Hayes Group, a DC event planning and PR firm specializing in events on Capitol Hill and in major venues around the city, for almost 10 years. For the final 4 years, as Vice President of Special Events, I was responsible for complete oversight of the logistics for all aspects of events produced. Clients included top non-profits, corporations, government agencies and educational institutions. Events I planned regularly ranked in the annual top 100 list for Washington, DC based on logistical and fundraising expertise.

During my tenure, I produced Presidential inaugural celebrations for up to 4,000 guests and assisted fundraising campaigns for non-profit organizations for 800+ guests, grossing in excess of $2 million whilst managing event expenses closely to maximize net profits.

Additional experience was gained in planning intimate dinners and receptions at Ambassador’s residences and private homes of notable Washington, DC residents, multi day conferences with multiple breakout sessions at premium hotels across Washington, DC, golf tournaments at luxury resorts, weekend retreats outside Washington, DC offering a series of events to highlight a movement or cause, Capitol Hill receptions, A Capitol Fourth and Memorial Day Concerts on the West Lawn of the Capitol, and the intricate logistics of transporting and entertaining multiple Medal of Honor Recipients and their guests over a 3 day period.

Building on the solid grounding and experience gained in event management at Hayes Group, I then spent 2 ½ years with Linder Global Events where, as an Event Director, I offered strategic and creative event planning and production services with the emphasis overall project management, experiential event planning, entertainment productions on a grand scale, large transportation movements, elaborate board meetings, and managing national and international events simultaneously.

Now for the exciting part, for the past two years, I brought all these experiences, with multiple professional contacts within the event world to my new role as Principle of Salt Events. As sole proprietor, my mission is to only take on enough work to enable me to maintain the personal connection with the client throughout the planning phase, allowing me to scale the size of events managed by drawing on a fleet of area experts to fulfill additional needs as necessary.
